The SheEvent Indy is committed to helping others connect and challenge themselves while collaborating with other community leaders to create and enhance economic development within the community. Three times per year, SheEvent hosts 300 vendors and over 6,000 attendees in an organized festival that includes a global fashion show, financial classes, breakout rooms and good eats. “I created the platform for black entrepreneurs to showcase their products to the community because our dollars only stay for 6 hours before it leaves,” SheEvent Founder and CEO, Katina Washington stated.

The Halo App, who recently partnered with the Indy Chamber to distribute their Ready To Restart grant to Indy’s small businesses, will use its platform to ensure that vendors have access to PPE resources via the Marion County grant and safe loans up to $1,000. “It’s so important that our community understands that there are resources available now,” said Taylor Simpson, CEO of The Halo App. “There is no time to waste because there are businesses at-risk of shutting down due to COVID-19.” The Halo App continues to seek out organizations that believe in economic inclusion and financial equality.

The SheEvent will open up its marketplace once again on September 12 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds — Champion’s Building.
